KAUST & AEON Collaborate Over Sustainability Goals

  Co-founders of the AEON Collective, Princess Noura Turki Al Saud and Princess Mashael Saud Al Shalan and Tony Chan, professor and president at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the AEON headquarters in Riyadh earlier this week.  The MoU comes as a move establish a mutual understanding of the willingness of both parties, to work collaboratively to support the acceleration of sustainable development both nationally and internationally, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the kingdom’s Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). AEON Collective is an inter-disciplinary Waqf (A Non Profit Endowment Fund) that is dedicated to sustainability around the globe. The State Department on Thursday ordered the families of U.S. embassy staffers in the Nigerian capital to leave due to heightened fears of a terrorist attack as it repeated a warning for all Americans to reconsider traveling to any part of the country and not to visit Abuja at all. The announcement came just two days after the department said it would allow nonessential personnel at the embassy in Abuja to depart voluntarily due to elevated security concerns. Wheat, ethanol top list of U.S. agric exports to Nigeria in 2021

  Nigeria spent $710.25 million on agricultural products from the U.S., and of that total, wheat alone gulped $503.63 million. Wheat and ethanol topped the list of agricultural items Nigeria imported from the United States of America in 2021. This is according to data by the United State Department of Agriculture. The data shows wheat, alongside ethanol and food preparation topped the list with a total value of $626.59 million. Other items were wine and related products, fish and seafood, intermediate products, essential oils, dairy products, tobacco and distilled spirits. According to the report, the value of the agricultural commodities exported by the U.S. to Nigeria rose 45 per cent between 2020 and 2021. In 2020, Nigeria spent $487 million on U.S. agricultural products, less than $653.27 million recorded in 2019. The amount rose to $710.25 million in 2021. SZA Shares New Song “Shirt” and Video Co-Starring LaKeith Stanfield

 SZA   has delivered her new song “Shirt.” Released alongside a cinematic Dave Meyers-directed video co-starring  Atlanta ’s LaKeith Stanfield, “Shirt” is the TDE signee’s first new solo song since she dropped “I Hate U” last year. In an interview with Aria Hughes for a Complex cover story, SZA said “Shirt” marked her fulfilling a long-held dream to work with producer Rodney Jerkins, a.k.a. Darkchild. The track is expected to show up on the long-awaited follow-up to her 2017 debut  Ctrl , which was reissued back in June with a deluxe edition. Earlier this month SZA gave fans a much-wanted update on the project, saying the rollout would start “any day.” When asked how much material she had recorded, she said she had a total of 100 songs in the can. “Maybe, like, I don’t even know actually,” she clarified. “Five years of material.”
